We foster entrepreneurial thinking and leadership by equipping high school learners and university students with the skills and resources to pursue innovative and impactful entrepreneurial journeys. Why is it important to develop entrepreneurs?
Entrepreneurs create businesses and value for society by solving problems. As such, they are primary catalysts for the vitally important function of job creation in Southern Africa. These businesses are profitable, sustainable and vital contributors to Southern Africa’s economic growth, tax revenue generation, and social and economic initiatives funding.

Dr Khanyisile Dlamini

Dr. Khanyisile Dlamini, is an expert in SME development, investment promotion, and economic growth with over 30 years of experience. She holds a PhD in SME and Economic Development from Aston University and currently serves as Senior Executive Manager for Investment Promotion at the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA). She has led initiatives securing over E14 billion in investments and creating 95,000+ jobs. Dr. Dlamini also serves on various boards, including MTN Fintech Eswatini and the Eswatini Housing Board, and is recognized globally for her work in economic development and corporate governance.

Dennis Mbingo is a Chartered Accountant with over 24 years of experience, 17 of which were in financial services. He recently served as CEO of FNB Eswatini, having held various executive roles in the FirstRand Africa portfolio, including CFO at FNB Eswatini, Deputy CEO at FNB Lesotho, and Deputy CEO at FNB Mozambique. He also contributed to FirstRand’s expansion into West Africa as FNB Africa’s Expansion Projects Executive. Dennis is passionate about mentorship, fostering young talent, and using private-sector leadership to uplift social economies. He also serves as Chairperson of the FNB Eswatini Foundation Board.

Tapologo Motshubi joined Allan Gray in 2004. He is the Portfolio Manager of Allan Gray Botswana and his responsibilities include researching Botswana capital markets and selecting suitable offshore products to ensure that Allan Gray optimally manages its clients’ portfolios. In January 2011 he was appointed Managing Director of Allan Gray’s operations in Namibia and Swaziland until 2014. Tapologo was the Managing Director of Allan Gray Botswana from 2007 to 2017. In 2016, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Allan Gray Kenya and Head of Allan Gray’s businesses outside South Africa in 2018.
Prior to joining Allan Gray, Tapologo worked at Grant Thornton in their Cape Town office. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the Universities of Cape Town and Natal, is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. Tapologo is also a Fellow Certified Public Accountant (FCPA).

Dr. Rehana Abdulla-Khan has dedicated over 38 years to private education in Botswana. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Biology/Chemistry from the UK, an MS in Neuroscience from American University in Washington, DC, and a PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand. Since retiring from teaching in 2019, Dr. Abdulla-Khan has served as Executive Secretary of the Independent Schools Association Botswana (ISAB), which oversees the interests of 40 Private schools at Business Botswana and Ministry of Education and Skills Development meetings. She was appointed as Trustee and Chairperson of the AGOFB in 2024.

Oteng Sebonego holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, with majors in Finance, International Business, and Entrepreneurship. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Cum Laude) from the University of Hartford, majoring in Actuarial Science, Finance, and Insurance. His previous roles include Investment Principal at Norsad Finance, Vice President at MFS Africa, and Managing Director at O&E Consulting. Sebonego has also founded CabIT Africa, an Uber-type platform, and co-founded a commercial real estate company in Botswana.

Ronald is a registered professional engineer with over 26 years engineering and project management experience within the SADC region. He is the holder of a BSc. (Elect/Electr), from the University of Cape Town, Executive chairman, shareholder and managing director of Burmeister & Partners (Pty) Ltd. Consulting Engineers, Chairman of the Rehoboth Community Trust. He is serving as Vice Chairman of the Meatco Namibia board and chairman of the audit and risk committee. His personal passion is sustainable community development with a focus on hydroponic crop cultivation and are a keen commercial livestock farmer.

Dr Delvaline Möwes was the Founding Director of the Centre for Open and Lifelong Learning (COLL) at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST). A position she held from 2002 -2022. Her career in Higher Education (HE) and Open, Distance and eLearning (ODeL) began at the University of Namibia’s (UNAM) Centre for External Studies in 1992. She has 30 years of experience in Higher Education and ODeL Leadership and Management, whilst she served in the positions of Lecturer, Assistant Registrar, Director, Acting Deputy Registrar, Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Academic Affairs and also deputised for the former NUST Registrar and the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Academic Affairs.

Gavin Frey is an accomplished business professional currently serving as the Regional Head of the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation for Namibia, Botswana & E-swatini. Gavin plays a pivotal role in driving the foundation’s mission to empower aspiring entrepreneurs and change-makers. Through his leadership, he fosters an environment that nurtures and supports young talent, facilitating their growth and development as future business leaders.
He is a Chartered Accountant and holder of an MBA from the University of Stellenbosch. Gavin’s professional journey spans across various sectors within the financial services industry. He has gained invaluable experience in audit and tax, asset management and corporate & investment banking.

Alvina holds a Postgraduate Diploma from Regent Business School. In her current role as Programme Coordinator, she manages the Fellowship selection process, identifying and nurturing academic talent in Namibia. Through her expertise, she ensures that the most capable learners receive the support they need to realize their full potential, contributing to the transformation of civil society.

Metumu graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelors of Business Science in Marketing. As a Project Officer at the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation, she plays a key role in managing initiatives that inspire entrepreneurial thinking among young people across Southern Africa. Her work involves coordinating the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge, organizing regional events, and ensuring impactful engagement with learners and educators. With a passion for youth development and a strategic focus on innovation, Metumu is committed to fostering the next generation of high-impact entrepreneurs in the SADC region.

Maylin serves as the Finance Manager of the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation. Her role oversees and manages the financial operations of the Foundation to ensure it achieves its strategic and impactful goals. Maylin is a Chartered Accountant by profession, and her passion for making a difference has guided her career in academia and now into her current role at the Foundation, where she hopes to continue contributing to the development of the next generation.
